We at Maple Lane Farms have been feeding cattle for 35 years. During that time, we have learned how to finish our cattle. With mostly home grown feed, we give our cattle the best care, the best of feed, keep them clean, dry and happy. During all those years, we have grown nearly any breed of beef known to man. About 2 years ago we were introduced to a breed known as a “STABILIZER”, which was developed in Colorado, USA. It is a 4 way cross of HEREFORD X ANGUS X SIMMENTAL X GELBVIEH. These cattle are known for their hearty health, growth, muscling, marbling, and quality of beef. We have found them to be exceptional in the way they finish. They are incredibly tender with marbling throughout. Because of the marbling, the flavor and tenderness is absolutely exceptional. Our animals are grown here locally, on home grown hay, haylege, corn silage, small amounts of soybean meal, and minerals. We us absolutely no growth hormones or stimulants. They are fed twice a day, 7 days a week. They are treated with care, dignity, always cleaned out, and sheltered from the elements. Summertime you can find them in our pastures. They are harvested at 17-20 months of age and in our climate controlled cooler until they are cut, vacuum packed, and frozen.
